Simply delicious and perfect portion size! This is definitely a recipe your kids can make with you, and they will love adding whatever toppings they want! It is a quick lunch or dinner meal taking under 30 minutes to make. I wish I would have known about this recipe when I was in college. Believe me, I would have made pizza pitas all the time!
Ingredients:
1 package gluten free pitas, I use the BFree brand.
1 jar pizza sauce or marinara sauce, I use Urban Accents Chicago Classic. It is delicious!
1 package of Dairy free mozzarella, I use the Daiya brand. Also, I tried the Chao cheese which was delicious but did not easily spread.
Any toppings you would like! Veggies, pepperoni, buffalo chicken, BBQ chicken, spinach, artichokes, mushrooms, onions, etc.
For the BBQ sauce, I use G Hughes Sugar Free BBQ Sauce.
For the buffalo chicken, I use Sweet Baby Ray's and top the pizza with Hidden Valley Dairy Free ranch.
For the three cheeses, I use Daiya mozzarella, Daiya cheddar and Follow Your Heart parmesan.
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375F.
Bake for 15 - 20 minutes until the cheese melted.
Serve warm.
